Losing a beloved pet is difficult, and unfortunately the need for a pet sympathy card presented itself. I’ve always loved and appreciated the concept of the Rainbow Bridge and Waffle Flower has a combination of products geared especially toward this comforting story. This Rainbow Bridge card has clean, crisp colors and a simple message that perfectly communicates sympathy in a time of loss of a pet.

Die Cuts
Using the Rainbow Bridge dog die, cut four sets from 80lb cardstock. Stack three of the sets, using liquid glue to adhere permanently. The last die cut will be used to aid in coloring.
Coloring
Using the dog die cut, secure it with a low tack tape or repositionable adhesive to a card panel cut to 3″ x 4″. Carefully color in the image, using the die cut as a guide.
Remove die, and fill in color as needed. Check coloring image by placing dog die cut stack over the image. Make sure color fills all visible areas thoroughly.
Once satisfied with coverage, use liquid glue to adhere die cut stack over colored panel. Trim excess.
Stamping
Create an A2 card base from 110lb cardstock and cut an A2 card panel from black cardstock. Set both aside.
Trim a card panel from 80lb cardstock to 5 1/8” x 3 7/8”. This will be the sentiment panel. Using a Misti, position sentiment then stamp using VersaFine Onyx Black ink. If desired, stamp a sentiment inside A2 card base.
Finishing
Using liquid glue, adhere black cardstock to front of A2 card base. Center sentiment panel on top and secure with additional liquid glue. Finally, finish stack with adhering rainbow bridge panel.
The simple beauty of this rainbow bridge card helps send comforting messages to anyone who has lost a beloved pet.
