Hello! I’m Courtney and I welcome you to my crafty blog. I am a wife to an incredible man, mother of two awesome kids, and an avid crafter. When I am in my craft area (it’s a closet, just gonna lay that out there) I can relax and unwind. As I create handmade cards with the focus of bringing others happiness, I find it brings me happiness as well. In other words, when my focus moves from the stresses of my life toward how I can be kind and thoughtful to others, it brings me happiness. It’s a win-win situation!
Growing up, I spent a lot of time around crafting. A. Lot. Of. Time. My mother was a professional crafter and our entire income came from creating and selling goods at various craft shows and boutiques. It was just my mother and I and it took both of us working hard to make ends meet. Working hard and the support of family, of course.
My personal journey with crafts began with stamping. Rubber, wood mounted stamps were my passion! Every craft show, I would take my earnings and select one or two rubber stamps from fellow crafters and my collection grew. Stamping has come a long way from those days, and I couldn’t be happier.
Though my paper crafting focuses on handmade cards now, I still enjoy other mediums of crafting. And boy are those interests varied! I enjoy refinishing furniture and working on various home projects, creative writing, quilting, painting, etc. As long as my creative eye is working, I’m a happy girl.
