Fun with Stamping

Today I’ve got some bold colors and simple stamping to create two fantastic cards! Quick and easy, this pair is sure to please.

Using The Stamp Market’s Striped stamp set and the Misti Stamping Tool, I stamped stripes on a couple panels of Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock. Ink colors used were Queen for a Day, Rouge, Sage and Lemongrass.

For the panel with horizontal stripes, I heat embossed a sentiment (The Stamp Market’s Just Wonderful) using Ranger Black embossing powder. I finished the card by adhering it to an A2 card base cut from Gina K Black Onyx cardstock.

For the second card, I stamped a sentiment (also from The Stamp Market’s Just Wonderful set), but this time inked only part of the stamp at a time.

My Misti Stamping Tool was imperative in keeping the image aligned through the multiple stampings. Starting with Lemongrass I stamped the top quarter, then cleaned the entire stamp and inked the second quarter of the stamp with Sage. Continuing the process, I moved through Rouge and Queen for a Day, until the entire image had been stamped.

Using circular stamps from my stash, I cut a thin frame from the outer edges of the circle. I also used the smaller circle to cut a piece of craft foam, which I mounted under the center circle.

After adhering both the cut frame and foam mounted center circle to my vertical striped panel, I glued an additional foam panel behind the panel then adhered the entire stack onto an A2 card base cut from Neenah 110lb Classic Crest cardstock.

With that, my second card was done.
