Thanks Slimline Card - C Clark Creative

Saying Thank You is easy with this Thanks Slimline card. Using two sets from Simon Says Stamp’s Stamptember 2020 release and a few dies is all it takes to create this fun card.

Thanks

To begin, position Old Letter 1878 background stamp on a Misti Stamping Tool. Stamp the image four times, each stamping using a different ink, and inking only portions of the stamp. This allows for gentle mixing of colors, and added interest.

Die cut letters using Altenew’s Bold Alphabet dies. I prefer these letters as they are bold and showcase the script from the background stamp well. Cut two additional sets of each letter and adhere layers using glue of choice (I used Gina K Connect Glue).

Background

Use largest rectangle die from Mama Elephant Slim Window Dressing die set and cut a background panel from a coordinating color of card stock (Green Leaf). Using larger single-word sentiments from Clean Line Gratitude stamp set, stamp sentiments in various areas of panel. Use one of the four inks used when stamping the Old Letter 1878 stamp.

Note – stamping can be done prior to die cutting.

Sentiment

Stamp smaller sentiment (You are so thoughtful) onto a scrap of white card stock then use a banner die to cut.

Card Finishing

First, adhere background panel to prepared card base (8 1/2” x 7” folded in half, at 3 1/2”). Using adhesive foam strips, adhere letters and smaller sentiment.

Add Nuvo Crystal Drops to accent to finish off card.

This thanks slimline card is simple in design, yet has added interest in the script-stamped letters and background panel with ‘thankful’ and ‘grateful’ text. The popped up details also add to the overall message.
