Stenciling
Today’s project utilizes the three stencils included in The Greetery’s Peachy Keen Stamp and Stencil set. Each layers over an A2 sized card panel (4 1/4” x 5 1/2”). There are indentations on each stencil to aid in aligning card panel in addition to each stencil being labeled as to the order in which they should be used.
To prepare stencils for easier use, spray a light layer of Pixi Spray to the back of each. This spray adds a light tack repositionable adhesive which hold the stencil to your card stock, yet allows them to be easily removed from each other.
Adhere card panel to stencil labeled “1” (peaches) and place on Make-Art Stay-tion. Use an ink blending brush or blending tool to ink blend Simon Says Stamp (SSS) Clementine ink.
Follow above for stencil labeled “2” (leaves) and ink blend using SSS Green Leaf ink. Finish with stencil labeled “3” (flowers) and SSS Rosie Cheeks ink.
Stamping
Use a stamp positioning tool, and stamp guide (included in Peachy Keen set) to aid in aligning stamps over stenciled image. Stamp accent layers over images, cleaning and moving stamps around as needed.
Peach top layer & flower accent layer: SSS Rose Apple ink
Peach stems & flower stamens: SSS Sparrow ink
Leaf accents: SSS Beanstalk Green ink
Stamp sentiment on a piece of white cardstock using SSS Sparrow ink, then trim to desired size.
Stamp sentiment inside card if desired. I stamped ‘Hoping your day is’ in Sparrow ink, then stamped ‘Peachy’ in both Clementine and Rose Apple for a multi-colored look. Adding the small layered peach is a nice addition.
Die Cutting
Die cut three sets of ‘Peach’ sentiment from white card stock and one set of the coordinating background from SSS Green Leaf card stock. Use liquid glue to adhere the three layers of ‘Peach’ together, then adhere to sentiment background.
Finishing
Use liquid glue to adhere peach panel to A2 card base. Adhere sentiment strip to ‘Peach’ die cut panel, ensuring panel will fit across card base. In other words, make sure the sentiment is not too wide for the card.
Adhere Apply adhesive foam to back of entire sentiment and adhere to card base. This card is complete!
