Welcome to Day 1 of my 12 Days of Cardmaking series! I’m starting off with a Season’s Greetings Pattern Play card. This card utilizes a turnabout set from Concord and 9th, a coordinating die, and traditional holiday colors.
For the video tutorial, click below. Otherwise, keep scrolling to see how I put together this Season’s Greetings Pattern Play card!
The Holly Berry Turnabout set includes two turnabout stamps that can be layered for a full background, or stamped individually, as I did today. For complete instructions on how to use Turnabout Stamps, see my post on a card using it from last year’s series (Click Here) or check out Concord & 9th’s website.
Starting with the berry panel, I stamped using red and green ink – red stamped for turnabout turns 1 & 3, green for turns 2 & 4. For the greenery, I stamped all turns in grey.
After stamping, panels were trimmed to layer.
The sentiment was die cut from coordinating colors of card stock, and a couple scraps of red card stock were trimmed to surround one of the card mats.
To finish, liquid glue (Distress Collage Medium) adhered all layers to an A2 card base, and this card was complete!
This Season’s Greetings Pattern Play card came together fantastically, I love how the layering gives interest to an otherwise basic card. Quick to put together, this card would be great for bulk card making.
For more inspiration on using Turnabout stamps, see my post on a Coffee Blend Turnabout card. Don’t forget to check back tomorrow for Day 2 of my 12 Days of Cardmaking series.
