Welcome to Day 3 of my 12 Days of Cardmaking series! Today’s Easy Layered White Christmas card is pure simple elegance. It just goes to show how using only one color can provide stunning results! In this case, Gina K card stock and ink in Blue Denim is the star.
For the video tutorial, click below. Otherwise, keep scrolling to see how I put together this easy layered white christmas card!
To start, I stamped and embossed my background panel. Blue Denim card stock, VersaMark ink and white embossing powder from Ranger did the job perfectly.
For the sentiment, I stamped first using Blue Denim ink, then cleaned the stamp and immediately stamped using VersaMark ink (without removing stamp from Misti).
Next, came heat embossing using Hero Arts Sparkle embossing powder.
Anyway, after picking myself up off the floor, I was able to pull myself together and get the sentiment die cut.
Simple layering assembled this card, which was a good thing after being completely flummoxed over embossing powder. Then, as a finishing touch, a light speckling of white created by a bit of white paint mixed with water.
The simple color scheme of this easy layered white Christmas card does not detract from its simple sophistication.
