Happy Halloween! - C Clark Creative

Halloween is here! Well, I am a day early, but the celebration has already started! Today’s card includes some Stampers Anonymous Mini Cats and simple ink blending using Distress Oxides. So join me and get ready for a Happy Halloween!

Today’s card begins by die cutting some images I’ve already colored. These mini cats all look terrified, and I just couldn’t resist putting them on a Halloween card.

Next, comes ink blending on Bristol card stock. Using circular motions, I began with Seedless Preserves, following with Chipped Sapphire and finishing with Black Soot. Occasionally moving back and forth between colors helps obtain a better blend. I finished by spritzing the panel with a bit of water from my Distress Sprayer.

After allowing the ink blended panel to dry, I cut it down using My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangles dies. I also die cut my sentiment using a stamp and die set from my stash.

Next, I used Black Onyx card stock for my A2 card base, layered the ink blended panel, and used Distress Collage Medium to adhere the ink blended panel on top. Scrapbook.com Double Sided Adhesive Shapes popped up the kitties, then a bit of splatter was needed.

The splatter was created by adding some water to black soot ink after it was pressed onto a craft sheet. Swirl a paintbrush into the mixture, then tap above card to effectively splatter. Dab up excess with a paper towel.

To finish the card, a slight spraying of Sheer Shimmer Craft Spray added a subtle hint of sparkle.

This was a fun, and simple card to create. And similar to my last post, quick to complete when the coloring is done prior. Hope this card inspires you to get into your craft room, or at the very least, to have a Happy Halloween!
