Hot Foiling & Die Cutting

For detailed instructions on using the Glimmer Hot Foil machine Click Here.

Using a hot foiling platform of your choice (I love my Glimmer Hot Foil System) foil your Easter eggs and sentiment. I used previously watercolored panels for the eggs and scrap pink cardstock for the sentiment.

After foiling, die cut the eggs and sentiment, using the dies included in the set.

Die cut any additional pieces wanted for your final cards. For today’s Happy Easter cards, trim a basket from Kraft, a basket backer for the basket from Dark Chocolate, and bunnies from white cardstock.

Set aside all die cuts and prepare card panel.

Card Panel

Trim Lucky Clover cardstock to 3 3/4” x 5”. This will allow a bit of white border when adhered to an A2 card base.

Stencil over card panel using a complimentary green ink. The Make Art Staytion is a great tool for holding your card panel and stencils in place while stenciling.

Using liquid glue, adhere card panel to A2 card base.

Finishing

Determine placement for basket, bunnies, eggs, and sentiment. Using liquid glue, begin to adhere card, working from bottom die cuts up.

Finish by popping up sentiment with a bit of double sided adhesive foam.

These Happy Easter cards are adorable, and simple to create. The Hot Foiling adds a letterpress effect, and the shine of the gold is stunning in person. Happy Easter Cards are a great quick project that is perfect for the holiday, and spring itself.
