Today’s patterned paper flower card is a great way to utilize some of the gorgeous papers available. Many different stamp sets and dies work great for this technique, and the sky is the limit with the possibilities. So, grab some of your patterned paper and create a flower card with me!
Supplies
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb cardstock for card base and 80lb for card panel

Preparing Flowers and Stems
Start by die cutting flowers and stems from multiple patterns of colored cardstock.
In addition, cut a template for the dies which will assist with mass stamping. In other words, cut a flower and both stems from a scrap bit of paper or cardstock which can be used to place die cuts into when stamping.
Prepare to stamp by aligning stamps above template. After transferring stamps to lid, place die cuts into windows of template then stamp away!
Card Panel
First, add interest to card panel by running through a die cut machine inside an embossing folder. This simple step adds incredible dimension to cards.
Second, determine placement of flowers and stems. For a more natural look, keep quantities to odd numbers. For example, three flowers and three leaves. Odd numbers generally flow better to the eye.
Adhere lowest layers to card panel using liquid glue. Middle layers should be adhered to card using Thin 3D foam squares. Finally, the topmost layer should use liquid glue where overlaps occur, and regular 3D foam squares elsewhere.
Trim any overhang from card panel, then adhere panel to card base using liquid glue.
Sentiment
Stamp sentiment using black ink, res-tamping using a Misti as needed to obtain a crisp impression. This grid transparency makes lining up sentiments easy, and always level with paper edges. Die cut sentiment and adhere to card using liquid glue. The Stitched Fishtail Flag dies by My Favorite Things adds great interest and finishing to cards.
This card is complete! In nearly the same amount of time it would have taken to create one card, I created four using the mass stamping and die cutting tricks mentioned. These cards are quick to complete, and using a cardstock stack made creating these patterned paper flower cards easy too.
