Welcome to Day 5 of my 12 Days of Cardmaking series. Feliz Navidog Outdoor Dogs is a perfect outdoor scene for your dog-loving friends. Some coloring, ink blending and die cutting sets up this scene and the results are pawtastic!
For the video tutorial, click below. Otherwise, keep scrolling to see how I put together this Feliz Navidog outdoor dogs card!
This card begins with die cutting. Well, it starts here assuming you have already stamped and colored your dogs like I have…
So, die cutting. Cut the dogs, and a couple snow slopes for those little cuties to play on.
Ink blending is next. Clouds are easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy with My Favorite Things Cloud edges. These can be added directly to the card base.
Gingerly blend a lighter blue to the snow slopes, and we are ready to move on.
Assembly is as simple as layering. I used adhesive foam to pop up the snow slopes, then Distress Collage Medium to adhere all the dogs. When orienting my pups, I placed my sentiment stamp to make sure I left room for it.
To finish, I stamped my sentiment using VersaFine ink. Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ebony black on all the doggies eyes and noses and Glossy Accents on the ornaments adds just enough embellishment to keep the images from appearing boring, or “flat”.
For more inspiration using die cut dogs, see my post on Little Critters cards. Also, check back tomorrow for day 6 of my 12 Days of Cardmaking series.
